Senate E Verify Renewal Bill Mirrors House Version
A Senate bill to renew the E Verify program for five years, the Visa Efficiency and E Verify Extension Act (S 3414) introduced by Sen. Robert Menendez, D-N.J., mirrors a bill approved by the House on July 31, 2008, that also extends E Verify five years, but the Senate bill would also reprocess unused employment based immigrant visas issued since 1992.
