2008 Human Resource Management Student Scholarship

Overview:

The professional chapter of the Mobile Society for Human Resource Management has committed a total of  $2,000.00 for 2008. Two - $1,000 Scholarships will be awarded.

Scholarship Criteria:

Eligibility for consideration:

• 3.0 G.P.A. or greater in the Human Resource Management Concentration
• An overall 3.0 G.P.A. or higher
• Students must be a junior or senior at a Local Institution with a 4 Year Degree Human Resource Management Program
• Must be an active member of the Local Student Chapter of (SHRM) and the National Chapter (SHRM)
• Students must submit an essay to the current President of the Mobile SHRM professional chapter by November 1, 2008.

Essay Topic:

HR as change agents!

What 3 steps can HR take in order to make a difference in today's workplace?

The essay must contain at minimum 300 words and must be in a typed format.
