 President -  Jeff LeBlanc
  • Talked about State Council meeting: Mobile SHRM had highest contribution to SHRM Found. Also, our conference was close to B’ham’s conference revenues.
  • Need to swap vendor lists with state council
  • Bylaws have been changed- Past Pres and SHRM Foundation are now separate positions.
  • Notified BOD that website advertising is taxable income
  • Discussed lunch prices and after-hours gathering for members

  • Discussed changes to certification requirements coming in 2011
  • Push certification to membership before changes are in effect
  • CEU’s pending for Feb meeting
  • Have (2) members to reimburse for passing certification test ($125 each)
 
Legislative - Kelly Woodford
  • Nothing to talk about except “HEALTHCARE” !!!
  • Mike Loncono would like to attend a “Hill” visit
 
College Relations – Marjorie Icenogle
  • Discussed ideas to get students more involved in chapter: shadowing/intern programs
  • Talked about awarding scholarship in SPRING
  • Discussed support for 2010 HR Games at UT in April
