IMAGE PROGRAM
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is responsible for
enforcing the nation’s immigration and customs laws. To minimize vulnerabilities
that help unauthorized workers gain unlawful employment, the Department
of Homeland Security (DHS) introduced the ICE Mutual Agreement between
Government and Employers (IMAGE) program is to reduce the employment
of unauthorized workers through outreach, education and training.
BIO
David Daniels began his federal career with the U.S. Customs Service
in May 1987, as a Special Agent assigned to the Resident Agent
in Charge, Dauphin Island, Alabama. Upon his assignment at Dauphin
Island, Al, Agent Daniels was assigned to the Marine Smuggling
Unit with an emphasis on Maritime Narcotics Smuggling, fishing and
pleasure boats. In 1992, Agent Daniels was reassigned to the Special
Agent in Charge Mobile, Alabama, where he was assigned to the Drug
Smuggling & Money
laundering Group, conducting narcotics and bulk cash smuggling investigations.
From the period 1994 to 2003, he was re-assigned to the Montgomery
Alabama Post of Duty, overseeing criminal and civil investigations
relating to counterterrorism, trade fraud, money laundering violations,
illegal exportation, counter proliferation of military items, and
narcotics smuggling. Presently, Agent Daniels is assigned to the US
Department of Homeland Security, ICE/Homeland Security Investigations,
Office of the Assistant Special Agent in Charge Mobile, Alabama; where
his responsibilities include the IMAGE coordinator for the state of
Alabama along with investigating cases associated with maritime and
drug smuggling, money Laundering, and worksite enforcement. David is
a graduate of Mcgill-Toolen High School in Mobile, AL and received
his BA degree in Political Science from Texas Southern University.

Happy New Year!!!! 2012 promises to be yet another exciting year for
Mobile SHRM. I am honored to serve as your President this year.
Our President-Elect, Kay Watson, is in charge of this year’s monthly
meeting programming. This year’s focus is on Best Practices for HR
Professionals. We are also planning a mini-seminar on June 8 at Herron
Lakes Country Club. The topic is to be determined. If you have any
suggestions about topics for the mini-seminar, feel free to contact
Kay Watson.
Our annual Gulf Coast Conference is scheduled for Friday, November
9 and will once again be held at the Mobile Convention Center. Scott
Dwelle and Leilani Reed-Logan are in charge of this year’s event. They
are busy booking speakers and lining up exhibitors and sponsors already.

Plans are also underway to schedule another members’ only evening
social event for late Spring or early Fall.
