Now that fall is here, it’s time to get focused on two of the best
and most important annual projects undertaken by the Mobile SHRM
chapter.
First, of course, is the annual conference – an event that’s
scheduled for November 18 at the Mobile Convention Center. Visit
the MSHRM website http://mobileshrm.org/content/2011-gulf-coast-mobile-shrm-conference to
register today if you’ve not already reserved your spot. There’s still
a little space left for conference exhibitors http://mobileshrm.org/content/exhibitor-registration-conference as
well.
The second important project that it’s time for members to think about
is the chapter’s annual charity nomination. As many of you know,
the chapter makes a financial donation to support the work of a
local chapter each December. Charities are entered for consideration
by member nominations and nominated charities are voted on by members.
If you’d like to nominate a local nonprofit organization to receive
this year’s give, please do! Simply email your nominations to president@mobileshrm.org by
November 1 with the phrase “charity nomination” in the email subject
line. The nominated charities will be compiled onto a ballot and voting
will take place at the conference.
Thanks so much for your support of and participation in both the annual
conference and the charity nomination and voting process.
See you at the October chapter meeting!!!
Regards,
Mary White, Chapter President |
