FINALLY! The cooler crisper air has arrived, footballs are flying and we can enjoy the early days of Fall.

Those of you who could not attend the first ever, but certainly not the last “Networking on the Bay” last Thursday night missed a fantastic networking event for all MSHRM and BCSHRM professionals. I have always believed that members vote by their attendance. With the large turnout we had (our biggest event this year), I know we will be providing additional networking opportunities for you in the future; adding even more value to your membership (VAM!!). I would like to personally thank Felix’s Fish Camp for hosting our event and donating unbelievable crab claws. YES, it is okay to eat them again folks! In addition, their terrific wait staff provided first class service to our group all evening. Make plans to attend our next special networking event!

It seems like I just started serving as your President and already we are introducing our 2011 Board nominees. Time flies when you are having fun! The following members are the leadership nominees for your approval at next week’s meeting:

St. Mary’s Home and Victory Health Partners are ineligible for the award this year as they were each winners in the past two years. Voting ballots will be available on the conference registration table on November 5th. If you prefer, you can email your vote to Cindy directly.

May each of you have a very safe yet SPOOKY HALLOWEEN!!!!

2011 Meeting Sponsorships!

Would you like to have an opportunity to market your company’s products or services to a captive audience of HR professionals?

Sponsor a Mobile Society for Human Resource Management chapter meeting and you’ll have an exclusive opportunity to do just that! For only $400, sponsors may have an exhibit near the check-in table, place literature on each table, and have an opportunity to speak briefly about their companies during the meeting agenda. What could be better than that?

Limited opportunities are available, as there can be only one sponsor for each regular meeting.
Contact Mary White at mgwhite@mtimail.com or 251-478-6848 to reserve your month!

Dear Employer/Supervisor:

In an effort to assess our academic programs, the Mitchell College of Business at the University of South Alabama is conducting a brief survey to gather feedback from companies/supervisors about our graduates. Your opinions are important to us. We want to know what you thought our graduates did well, and identify ways that we can continue to improve our programs. To gather this information, we are conducting a short, online survey. To complete the survey, click on the following link http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/GHYJPT6 or cut and paste it into your Internet browser.

To ensure anonymity, no names - neither employers nor supervisors - will be used in reporting survey results. Therefore, please be candid in your responses. Your time and cooperation are greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Carl Moore
