Workforce Development Initiative

boy readingWe are proud to say that Mobile SHRM members donated 190 books to the ALSHRM 1,000 Books in 100 Days book drive. Those books will be delivered to Morningside Elementary School to get students excited about reading!

We are especially proud of the South Alabama SHRM Student Chapter that collected 360 new books and delivered them to the Boys and Girls Clubs of South Alabama. That brings the total for our chapter to 550 books!

Statewide, the total number of books collected was 6,008 - quite a bit more than we ever expected. Several chapters have asked about making this an annual project. Thank you for your participation in this very successful workforce development initiative.
