Dear Mobile SHRM Members,

In the present state of our economy, I’m sure many of you have been forced to layoff members of your workforce. Never an easy task, the job seems more difficult these days considering the lack of available positions for them to pursue. When you find yourself anxious over your role in this thankless duty I encourage you to look within our chapter for someone to talk, someone to vent with, someone to hear the things you can say to no one in your own company. We sometimes carry a great weight that has the potential to bring us down if we’re not careful. Take advantage of the fact that we’re all in the same place and need each other to make it to the other side of this economic predicament.
