I wanted to thank everyone that attended our mini-seminar last month with Libby Anderson. It was a tremendous turnout and the positive response was well received.
A reminder for those members who have children enrolled or planning to attend college in the fall. The deadline for the MobileSHRM Son’s and Daughter’s scholarship is May 15.

Dear MobileSHRM Members,
Next Friday MobileSHRM is hosting its yearly mini-seminar featuring Libby Anderson. She will be speaking on Generational Mixes in the Workplace. This has been pre-certified for 4 hours of HRCI credit. Please submit your registration by Tuesday, even if you are paying at the door. We will be having a full breakfast and need an accurate headcount. Those planning on attending our luncheon only will need to RSVP Billy Boswell as normal.

Dear MobileSHRM Members,
The board recently approved our operating budget for 2008. Our budget for this year is nearly $86,000. We have a substantial increase this year due to the addition of our certification course. The board has a tremendous responsibility to administer this budget. Our Treasurer, Lorinda Day, will provide copies of the 2008 budget at this month's meeting. If you have any
questions concerning any financials, feel free to contact Lorinda or myself.

Dear MobileSHRM Members,
2007 was quite a successful year for our chapter thanks to the hard work and dedication of our Past President, Harold Williamson, and our Board members. Harold presented last year’s accomplishments at our January meeting, and the list was impressive. Throughout the year, we delivered quality programs and speakers, grew our membership to over 250, maintained strong financial health, offered a new PHR/SPHR study program, conducted another successful Gulf Coast HR Conference, awarded scholarships and donated to charity, and this month received Chapter Champion medals from the SHRM Foundation for our 2007 efforts. You can count on your Board working hard for you this year as well.
