Why be a Member?

Becoming a member of the Mobile SHRM will give you  a network to tap into when gathering information on how other local organizations handle various human resource situations, procedures, policies, etc. In addition have access to local professional development opportunities to improve your HR competencies and advance yourself professionally.

Our local chapter helps build relationships and contacts with other local companies while helping you stay up to date on state and local labor market conditions and issues.

The Mobile SHRM chapter has many types of members including HR generalists and specialists who provide information that might otherwise be difficult and/or expensive to obtain.

We promote professional development with the opportunity to obtain PHR/SPHR/ GPHR recertification credits for attending  various chapter programming that qualifies for HR Certification Institute credits.

We welcome you to join our chapter today and encourage you to take advantage of the Leadership skills development opportunities. And maybe you will even take on a volunteer leadership role in a local chapter.

Application Process

To be considered for membership in Mobile SHRM, you must complete your application online which will allow you to provide a job description for your current or post recent position along with a brief outline of your experiences within the HR profession.

Annual membership dues for the Mobile Society for Human Resource Management are $50.00. Approved memberships will be activated upon receipt of dues payment.

Membership dues may be paid online after submitting the online application form which includes an additional $2.50 convenience fee. Or you may choose the "mail a check" payment directly to MSHRM after completing the online application.
